Introduction to mi-inta

Speedtech’s mi-inta illuminates online activity in the home or office. Plug mi-inta into a spare port on the WiFi router to reveal devices, websites visited and the level of activity on the Internet connection, at a glance, on the companion app.

“mi-inta is affordable to buy, free to use and easy to implement….I am not aware of an alternative like-for-like product for home users”

mightygadget.co.uk

“mi-inta gives you all this information in an easy-to-read format without needing to be a tech whiz”

the-gadgeteer.com

“…which makes the mi-inta some sort of a unicorn in the current tech climate…”

Design Highlights

1
ARP spoofing is used so that all download and upload traffic passes through mi-inta, without modification.
2
mi-inta hardware and software is designed first and foremost for forwarding data, so network performance is not compromised.
3
mi-inta comes in two versions, 100M and 1G with the processing power to match these throughputs, expected to be launched on Kickstarter at US $49 and US $99 respective price points.
4
No sign-up or subscription is required, and the companion app is free – a once-off device purchase is the only requirement.
5
Once booted, mi-inta operates entirely stand-alone and does not reference servers or other cloud resources. This ensures:
(a) Optimum performance (no delays waiting for server replies).
(b) Complete security and privacy of the user’s data – no user data is sent to the cloud or accessible from outside the local network.
6
A full 90 day money back guarantee is offered for anyone who buys mi-inta and finds it not compatible with their router, modem or network setup.

The Back Story

Unfortunately, most users still cannot see what’s happening on their Internet connections. While solutions do exist, they can be technically complex, expensive and/or ineffectual. For those who care about online activity in the home or office, this remains a great concern.

One of the founders, a parent, began to seek a low-cost solution which flattened the technical learning curve such that parents everywhere could illuminate the online activity in their homes easily, intuitively and cheaply. This led to the development of mi-inta.
